Fashion Refuses Fur was an Art Design Competition, organized by Animal Guardians, to encourage professional artists and organizations in the nonprofit arts and cultural exchange activities to “refuse fur as fashion.” Through art, design, and culture, the purpose of the competition was to strengthen general public awareness of the cruelty behind fur clothing.

Fashion Refuses Fur targeted well-educated young people, especially those living in urban areas, to encourage and promote their artistic and design expertise for the welfare of animals brutally killed for fur. The competition featured an art exhibit with posters and other works of art, as well as generated media coverage. All in all, Fashion Refuses Fur was a major success!
