Overview of Our Work in China
Animal Guardians began its work for animals in China in 2008, when it provided the strategic consulting and funding for kindness education and animal protection messages on a special page of The Animal World for China Children News (CCN). From there, Animal Guardians provided the funding for the 5th and 6th Beijing Small Animal Veterinary Association (BJSAVA) Annual Conferences.
Along with providing the strategic consulting and funding for Northwest University of Politics & Law’s (NWUPL) teaching model creation, as well as the the Education Union for Animal Protection (EUAP) program, Animal Guardians also developed its dog management model. In 2010, we sponsored the 1st Chinese Veterinary Conference and provided strategic consulting and primary funding for the research on legislation for Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Law proposal.The Science and Technology Forum on “Pets and Human Health” was also primarily sponsored by Animal Guardians, along with the funding for the Animal Rescue of Disaster Relief Program in Sichuan Province in 2008 and in Yushu, Tibet, in 2010. We also provided funding for numerous Chinese animal protection shelters.
In 2008, 2010, and 2011, Animal Guardians provided the primary sponsorship for the Asia for Animals Conferences.
